I found out that using the method posted in the second link provide the faster way to solve the installation problem on my Acer Aspire 4710 laptop, provided you know which SATA driver you are looking for. In this case, it's the AHCI driver from Intel. Also, the ResourceCD provided by Acer Malaysia contains only Vista drivers. More XP drivers are available at http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/downloads.html.
